I listened to a short speech from the late Queen Elizabeth II this morning. Her words touched me as relating to my metabolic journey to wellness. Here it is:
"Each day is a new beginning. I know that the only way to live my life is to try to do what is right; to take the long view; to give my best in all that the day brings and put my trust in God. When life seems hard, the courageous do not lie down and accept defeat. Instead, they are all the more determined to struggle for a better future. It is worth remembering that it is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change." Queen Elizabeth II

You're welcome! I thought the first and last sentence were especially appropriate for this journey we are on.

Thank you Faye for the inspiration from Queen Elizabeth II. It will always start with being faithful to accomplish the small steps. That is our foundation which gives us. something to build on. Take care.

This is so beautiful and timely! Thank you so much for sharing it Andrea! Having grown up in England and honoring the queen his whole life, Andrew has a very tender spot for the queen and has been mourning her loss like that of a grandmother. I will share this with him and he will be so touched as well!
