Hello friends! Today is another day– and while we've different types of yoga/mindfulness/movement together so far this week and shared a motherload list of walking workout playlists for you to pick from, today we are back with another British fitness hero that we really love, Joe Wicks, "The Body Coach". Joe is a HUGE force for good in the wellness industry and is a big hero to Dr. Gough and me as he has offered SO MANY free offerings for many groups of people who are very accessible and challenging no matter where you begin!
First, we want to share 7-Day Seniors Workout Challenge (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyCLoPd4VxBvSfJSV9A06NJqBbqga65eI). This is an awesome playlist of seven days worth of ten-minute bodyweight, NO accessories or tools needed workouts that are perfect for seniors or those just beginning or getting back to physical fitness. It is a FANTASTIC workout for us all!
Additionally, Joe's First Steps to Fitness (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyCLoPd4VxBvC-Bxq2E3VJ-NiUXwChIh_) is a series of six fifteen-minute workouts that again require NO tools or accessories and are designed to take someone who is 100% sedentary at the moment when it comes to physical fitness to activity! This is for what Joe calls the ultimate beginner and it is VERY inspiring and fun!
If you're Looking For Something More Spicy Joe has a series of leave-it-all-on-the-mat workouts (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyCLoPd4VxBvzZy6oQOC-MWritze35aAp) that are made for those who are looking to REALLY challenge themselves. These are for folks who have built up their physical endurance and are looking for a bigger challenge.
Joe's 7 DAYS OF SWEAT 🔥(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyCLoPd4VxBsY7HCrUBS7eZRrMPmsTjDa) 7 workouts in 7 days is a playlist of seven twenty-minute no-equipment and no-excuses workouts for those looking for middle-down-the-road body-weight workouts perfect for someone looking to work out a sweat and really challenge themselves.
Check out these and then look at The Body Coach's EXTENSIVE library of FREE workouts available for all levels and all folks (https://www.youtube.com/@TheBodyCoachTV/playlists)– including the PE Challenges that Joe did for kids during the lockdown when the kids were home from school which made ALL the difference for our family (and which we ALL joined in on!).
Today- TRY ONE of these workouts and come back to let us know what you tried, how it felt, and what you think! Interval training is not for everyone, but it is another tool we can put into our belt as one more option to stay active and heart-healthy, giving us even more of the movement we need during the day for optimal sleep at night!

I just need to make it effort even for fifteen minutes

15 minutes is actually not a lot of time, compared to what advantages it brings us if we make it routine.

Thank you for sharing short workouts, it seems everyone always thinks it needs to be 45-60minute workout to get any benefit.

I’ve completed three sessions with Joe the sedentary to movement. Today will be day four.

How did you enjoy them @mclark0208@windstream.net?

The premise is to go from sedentary to active which is what I need. The first three were pretty easy. Day 4 was a little harder but enjoying that I’m doing something. Progress. I will probably do all six and then repeat some of them to get built up.

Did anyone else have a problem with the recording? For me it’s not loading. It’s just a blank space for where the recording would be at. Unless it’s my iPhone?
